Here's a combination that's almost impossible to beat. A fully remote control High Resolution, Low Light camera with a smooth action Pan and Tilt head. The possibilities are endless. For event work, such as corporate presentations, music, ministry and tons of other applications, you can arrange several of these in various locations and switch from one camera to another as you control all functions of the camera and control from one centralized location. (See 5 Camera Controller Shown Below) Until now the cost of that situation was prohibitive for most budgets.
For single camera operation you can place the camera up to 500 feet away from the control point and have a broadcast quality NTSC signal to work with any way you need, be that to record, web cast, live feed or whatever final distribution that you select. Simple and inexpensive CAT-5 Cable is all you need to facilitate the installation.
The camera is a truly professional high resolution camera that boasts a full 520 lines of horizontal resolution. Compare that with even professional camcorders and you can see why many large churches, and other venues, use these exact same cameras to feed to huge Jumbotron Monitors with outstanding clarity. The unparalleled Sony DSP chipset has been integrated into this High Resolution (Digital Signal Processing) camera that has unbelievable low light capabilities, all the way down to just one lux of light. The image you'll see on the screen is actually better than that of your eye, when compared side to side.
The camera features a remarkable 270X Zoom (increases the size by up to 270 times actual). Optical Zoom is important because it does not increase the pixel size as you zoom in, like digital does. This camera features a 27x optical zoom as well as a 10x digital zoom, so you hold a nice crisp picture all the way through. Focus can be set to automatic OR you can control the focus and zoom from a remote location via an optional remote control. The output is the industry standard NTSC, ready to be switched, recorded, electronically captured, web streamed or handled in any other manner you would from a video camera or camcorder costing hundreds of dollars more. These are the same cameras used by several major casinos, for surveillance operations that allow a zoom so close in you can read the numbers on the playing cards or the values of the dice from a vantage point hundreds of feet away!
Don't confuse this item with a low cost webcam or cheap security cameras. Those cameras are low resolution cameras (often less than 300 Line Resolution). In addition most of those cameras have no auto focus (that can also be controlled manually) nor do they have optical zoom and most don't even have auto iris. No auto iris means that most every image is either under or over exposed because there is no iris (as in you eye) to control the amount of light that enters the camera. If they have any zoom at all it is digital, meaning that as you zoom in you are increasing the size of each pixel. While this works 'kind-of-OK' in a home web application or for some security purposes, it will never suffice for any level of quality video production or for some of the sophisticated surveillance applications we currently have them installed in.
You can find a comparable video camera in some electronic stores, but expect to pay more than $400 and possibly even closer to $500 for a camera of like specifications. But our special purchase arrangement with an OEM to the Sony Corporation who builds these for us allows us to make these remarkable cameras available for only $339.
Yes, a 520 Line Camera with built in 270x Zoom and auto or manual focus and, of course, auto iris -for under $350!
