:: FAQ
Can I output HD and SD video mixed by V-440HD as an SD signal? No. Mixed video is output as HD or RGB signal.
When inputting HD/RGB video to V-440HD, can I specify the format to HD or RGB per channel? Yes. V-440HD allows you to select HD or RGB for each channel when inputting video.
Can I display the menu screen of V-440HD on the monitor connected to the HD OUT terminal or RGB OUT terminal? While pressing and holding the SHIFT button, press the MENU button to display the menu on the monitor connected to the HD OUT or HD PREVIEW OUT and RGB OUT or RGB PREVIEW OUT terminals.
For the HD/RGB IN input of V-440HD, can I input videos from the analog component (BNC) terminal and Dsub terminal of the same input channel simultaneously and then switch them for output? No. You cannot input videos from the analog component (BNC) terminal and Dsub terminal of the same input channel simultaneously. If you do this, the video will be unstable.
Reference: * You can use a terminal to which video is not input to loop through the input video signal and monitor it. * How to loop through video signal Input a video single to the RGB terminal or D-Sub terminal of the HD/RGB IN input, and connect a monitor to the unused terminal. The input video signal is shown on the monitor.
In the multi-screen output screen of V-440HD, only the center portion of the input video is displayed. If you select 2×1, 3×1, or 3×2 in Multi Screen Type, the top and bottom portions of the input video are not displayed on the output monitor and only the center portion is displayed.
This is because selecting 2×1, 3×1, or 3×2 causes the aspect ratio of the output video to change. For example, while the output format with 16:9 of the aspect ratio is selected, selecting 2×1 in Multi Screen Type causes horizontally long video with the aspect ratio 32:9 is displayed over the two monitors. In this case, the top and bottom portions of the video are truncated.
Can I remotely control V-440HD from an external device? V-440HD supports V-LINK, RS-232C, and MIDI, and can be remotely controlled by an external device.
Is V-440HD equipped with a frame synchronizer? Yes, V-440HD is equipped with a frame synchronizer on each of buses A to D.
Is V-440HD compliant with RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive)? Yes, V-440HD is RoHS-compliant.
When inputting HD/RGB video to V-440HD, can I select the Dsub terminal (15-pin) and BNC terminal separately for each channel? Yes. You can select one of the terminals for each channel.
